I. Military personnel on active duty and permanent/casual civilian employees of the Philippine Navy.
II. Retired military and civilian personnel of the Philippine Navy.
III. Immediate members of the families (up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity) of those falling under paragraphs I & II above.
Honorary Member - Regular Employee of the Association.

A person eligible for membership may become a member through walk-in or salary deduction. Terminated member may apply for re-entry of his membership subject to existing policy on membership.
Prospective member shall be required to fill up Membership Form and submit documents to establish his or her identity and eligibility.
The filled-out membership form should be complete and accurate as to the details provided by the member-applicant. For the details which are not applicable, it should be labeled as NA.
Any person eligible for membership shall become a member of the Association only after the approval of his application of membership by the Board of Trustees and by pledging to abide by the by-laws, policies, rules and regulations of the Association. In case of delegated authority, it shall be subject to the confirmation of the Board.
The information and documents proving the identity and eligibility of prospective members shall be subjected to validation.
Immediate family member should submit duly authenticated official document to verify his/ relationship with the principal member.
As to the stratification of dependent members, the membership form for the portion of dependents identifies relationship
to the principal-member. Thru the validation and verification of the staffs, the dependents are classified as to
dependent of military-active, military-retiree or civilian personnel (active or retiree) on membership form and in the
membership registry for proper classification and stratification.
All member-applicants undergo the face-to-face contact. No prospective member shall be accepted without face-to-facecontact with the PNSLAI's duly authorized personnel. The authorized personnel shall sign/certify in Membership Form that face-to-face contact was conducted by and between him/her and the member.
Prior to the approval or confirmation of the Board, the PNSLAI should ensure compliance with the payment of membership fee of P50. Proof of payments such as Official Receipt/Journal Voucher for the newly membership fee collected shall be attached to the membership folder of each member.
Prior to the approval or confirmation of the Board, the PNSLAI should ensure compliance with the payment of the minimum fixed capital of P1,000.
Membership ID shall be issued to every qualified member. Whenever the membership ID is lost, mislaid, or stolen, an affidavit of loss must be executed by the member. In case of replacement, the old membership ID should be surrendered to the Association. A service fee of Php 15.00 shall be collected for the issuance of new ID.
The registry of all the members shall also be maintained by the Corporate Secretary or the board- designated person and such registry shall clearly identify and show the relationships of members. The Vice-President for Operations can be the board-designated person to maintain the registry of all its members.
The details of membership encoded in the Membership Management System (MMS) shall be reviewed and validated upon receipt of original Membership Forms prior to signature and filing.
In addition the Vice-President for Operation can be the board-designated person shall be in-charge for the maintenance and safe storage of all membership identification and eligibility records. He/she shall ensure the integrity of such files.
All the original membership records of new members are forwarded to the Operations department (central file) from all branches for scanning and uploading in MMS.
The Operation Department shall preserve and safely store the original membership records as long as the membership exists.
For terminated members, original membership records shall be maintained for at least five (5) years from the date of cessation of membership from the Association unless there is a pending case involved, in which case records shall be maintained until the case is closed with finality.
The Board Resolution on the approval or confirmation of the membership shall be retained by the Corporate Planning Office acting as Secretariat to the Board and the Corporate Secretary. The Board Resolution Number and date as to the approval of membership may be stamped on the accomplished application form.
All new members were properly oriented prior to approval of application thru info drive and face- to-face contact. The staff shall certify that orientation has been conducted prior to approval of membership about the products, services, rules and regulations and policies of PNSLAI by signing the portion in Membership Form.
